Main muscles working (thicker lines)

Starting position

Face away from the anchor holding the handles at chest height, lean forward with arms straight and body in a straight line; walk feet back to make it harder.

  1. 1

Brace the core and keep the straps from drifting apart.

  2. 2

Bend the elbows to lower the chest between the handles.

  3. 3

Lower until the hands are beside the chest.

  4. 4

    Press back to straight arms.

Breathing: Inhale as you lower, exhale as you press.

Coaching tips

  • Plank body

  • Adjust angle for difficulty

Common mistakes

  • Letting the handles flare wide

  • Sagging hips
