Unsweetened soy milk blended with banana, peanut butter, cocoa and one date. Soy milk is the only common plant milk with as much protein as dairy, and with the peanut butter it gives 14 g in a glass. It tastes like a chocolate milkshake, and the 19 g of sugar comes from the banana and date only.

Ingredients
Method
- 1
Add the soy milk, cocoa, peanut butter and date to the blender jar and blend on medium for 20 seconds so the cocoa dissolves.
- 2
Add the banana and ice and blend on high for 40 seconds until thick, smooth and evenly brown.
- 3
Pour into a tall glass and drink within 15 minutes.
Tips
- A pinch of salt and a drop of vanilla make it taste like a shop milkshake.
- Check the soy milk carton says unsweetened; sweetened versions add 10–15 g sugar per glass.
Swaps
- No peanut butter? Use 2 tbsp roasted peanuts, ground first with the soy milk.
