Silken tofu blended with frozen berries, soy milk, one date and ground flaxseed. Tofu gives a creamy body and most of the protein, so the smoothie works as a vegan post-workout drink without any powder. Berries are among the lowest-sugar fruits, which keeps the whole glass at 13 g of sugar.

Ingredients
Method
- 1
Add the soy milk, tofu and date to the blender jar and blend on high for 20 seconds until the tofu is completely smooth.
- 2
Add the frozen berries, flaxseed and vanilla. Blend on high for 40 seconds, scraping once, until thick and purple with no seeds visible.
- 3
Pour and serve immediately; it is thickest while the berries are still cold.
Tips
- Silken tofu is sold in tetra packs in most supermarkets and lasts months unopened.
- Firm tofu works at a pinch but makes it grainier; blend longer with a splash more soy milk.
Swaps
- No berries? Use 100 g fresh pomegranate arils, strained after blending: similar calories, a little more sugar.
